Handheld Gauge Measures Full Range of Copper Thicknesses
ELK GROVE VILLAGE, IL (January 8, 2004) Oxford Instruments
Coating Measurement (OICM) introduces the CM95, an upgrade
to their 90 Series handheld copper thickness measurement gauge.
The CM95 is the only all-in-one gauge that offers users the
ability to measure the complete range of copper thicknesses,
from 0.125 to 4.0 oz. (4.375 to 140 µm). The CM95 provides
accurate measurements of copper foil on rigid, flexible, single-
and double-sided or multi-layer boards, as well as bare foil
material.
The CM95 is also notable for its use of OICM's exclusive
soft-touch probe tips to prevent marring or damage to the
copper surface. Just touch the probe to the copper surface
and examine the thickness indication on the bright LED
display. Since it is unaffected by laminate core thickness,
the CM95 displays results in just one second. And without
any standards required, it is extremely user friendly.
An inexpensive solution to material waste and rejects, this
accurate, factory-calibrated gauge lets you avoid costly
scrap, errors and rework at the drilling station by identifying
out-of-spec copper coatings at incoming inspection. The
CM95 operates on a single 9-volt battery, enabling over
8000 measurements before battery replacement. This convenient,
CE-approved gauge comes with a one-year warranty and is
fully backed by OICM.
