New Metallic Plating Measurement Gauge Provides Accurate Readings
Regardless of Substrate Geometry or Surface
ELK GROVE VILLAGE, IL (June 8, 2005) – Oxford Instruments
Coating Measurement (OICM) introduces the innovative model 243
coating thickness gauge, designed to measure metallic coatings
such as zinc and nickel over steel. The test method employed
is not sensitive to the base or geometry of the part. The result
is a more reliable reading when dealing with small components.
Operators are better capable of taking exact measurements on
coatings such as zinc or nickel over steel. The model 243 delivers
the accuracy and precision of an X-Ray gauge in a handheld instrument.
This gauge delivers correct measurements even on thin coatings
and does not require calibration on the part. This simple-to-use
battery-operated device requires no operator training.
Additionally, the model 243 automatically stores data and
generates easy-to-read statistics that help optimize production
and reduce scrap. Standard with the 243 gauge is OICM’s
proprietary SRG software. SRG is a full statistical program
and report writer.
OICM's global customer service presence provides expert support
to ensure the integrity of the instrument.
