New SRP-4 Surface Copper
Probe to Add Functionality to CMI1701M
ELK GROVE VILLAGE, IL (February 18, 2005) — this summer,
Oxford Instruments Coating Measurement (OICM) will introduce
the new SRP-4 Surface Copper Probe, which integrates with the
versatile CMI701M bench-top system. The SRP-4 adds considerable
functionality and cost-savings to the CMI701M's coating
thickness measurement performance.
The SRP-4 features replaceable, interchangeable tips, which
eliminate the expense of replacement probes, and allow the
user to quickly adjust for new measurement applications. The
high-precision, small-footprint probe is designed for less
downtime and longer life, with a high-flex robotic cable.
Working together, the SRP-4 probe and CMI701M system provide
accurate measurement of bare foil material as well as copper
foil on rigid, flexible, single- and double-sided, or multi-layer
boards for PCB manufacturers and buyers, and suppliers of
copper foil and PCB base materials.
Additional probes are also available, which enhance the CMI701M's
functionality for additional applications, including the measurement
of plated thru-hole copper before and after etch.
